Why Alucard Should NOT Be Around TV

Alucard was deep in thought. He had heard of this Carmen Sandiego and pondered their similarities: she successfully tracked down and hunted valuables just as he did Freak Vampires; she sifted through clues and the prize just as he would sniff out clues to track his targets, although, he chuckled to himself, he did literally “sniff” them out frequently; she travelled at amazing speeds just as he did, going from one place to another in mere minutes; she could travel and function undetected just as he did; she also commanded a small army of thieves as he had once commanded large armies; he even heard Integra speak of this Carmen Sandiego wearing a red fedora and trench coat much like his own, she had good fashion sense in his mind. This Carmen Sandiego intrigued him and he wanted to meet her for himself. Perhaps she would be a good choice for a companion for eternity. They seemed to have some very common ground and interests.

He decided to speak to Integra about this as his little master was always talking to Walter about this woman. Maybe she would know where Alucard could find her or at least give him a place to start his hunt. He shivered with anticipation at the prospect of the hunt of such a worthy prey. Making up his mind to find Carmen Sandiego, he rose from his throne like chair and headed up to speak to his little master.

When Alucard finally found his little master, Integra was sitting in front of, what Alucard termed, “the infernal talking box” watching Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego. Alucard of course paid the “infernal talking box” no mind what so ever and began talking to Integra, who just watched on barely paying him any mind. “Master, I would like to talk to you about this Carmen Sandiego”, Alucard began. “I would like to know where she can be found so that I may talk with her.” Integra replied, without taking her eyes from the TV set, “Carmen Sandiego is currently in San Diego, California in the USA.” “Really?” Alucard asked. “Um, no, now she is in Paris, France.” My this woman really gets around. I’ll have to inquire how she does it, Alucard though to himself. “Master, may I go talk with her?” Alucard inquired. This finally caught Integra’s attention and she stared quizzically at the towering Nosferatu. “What?” was all Integra could muster at the moment, taken back by the questioning look on Alucard’s face. “May I go talk with her?” Alucard repeated.

Giving Alucard her full attention, now Integra could plainly see he was, she giggled at the though, dead serious. Trying her best to contain her growing mirth, somewhat unsuccessfully, she said, “Alucard, Carmen Sandiego is a fictional character from a TV show and series of computer games to help teach geography. She’s not real.” “Are you sure Master? They have said that about me for years thanks to Abraham and that idiot Irishman Stoker!” Alucard retorted. “Quite positive Alucard, so NO you cannot go and talk to her as there IS no one to talk to.” Now Integra could no longer hold back her laughter which brought tears to her eyes as she held her sides tightly. Alucard stared at his little master in disbelief. Seeing her laughing fit did not appear to be stopping any time soon, he decided to ask Walter; just to be sure Integra wasn’t trying to pull the wool over his eyes.
